IoD Digital Credentials
At the IoD, we see learning as a lifelong journey – one that supports directors to stay current, capable and confident in their roles. To support directors in their continuous learning, we are introducing digital credentials that recognise a range of learning, both formal and informal.
Digital credentials offer a simple, credible way to demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and best practice governance. Open badges are web-enabled versions of a credential, certification or learning outcome which can be verified in real-time, online. They can be shared on LinkedIn, in email signatures or on CVs – providing a visible way to demonstrate your engagement with good governance.
We have partnered with Credly by Pearson to deliver our digital badges. Credly hosts one of the world’s largest and most trusted digital credential platforms, helping organisations recognise verified knowledge, skills and capabilities.
Our first digital credential is the Climate Governance Credential, supported by Chapter Zero New Zealand, the home of climate governance at the IoD.
This new initiative allows directors to visibly demonstrate their annual commitment to climate governance learning. The credential is available exclusively for IoD members and is valid for one year from the date of issue.
