Overview

In recent years, under successive governments, the public health sector has gone through many changes.  Health New Zealand is responsible for the planning and commissioning of health services as well as the functions of the 20 former district health boards. With an estimated 80,000 employees, Health New Zealand is New Zealand's biggest employer.

CEO, Margie Apa will offer a ‘state of the nation’ update from the health sector – the health sector reforms, health and wellbeing improvements, and unique governance challenges.
