Join us for this inaugural breakfast event designed especially for those involved in Audit and Risk.
You’ll hear from Darby Healey, Partner at KPMG, and independent director Ross Buckley who chairs or is a member of six Audit and Risk Committees including the Institute of Directors, the FMA Auditor Oversight Committee, ASB Bank and Stride Property.

Ross retired from KPMG in 2020 after 38 years (27 years as a Partner). In his last nine years Ross was Executive Chairman of KPMG in New Zealand and a member of KPMG’s Asia Pacific Board and KPMG’s Global Council. During his career with KPMG he has managed the firm’s Audit, Risk, and Tax practices in addition to the firm’s People, Performance and Culture function.
Ross has a variety of governance roles including ASB Bank, two listed NZX 50 companies Stride Property and Investore Property, a New Zealand privately owned company Service Foods, and he gives back with his roles on the Institute of Directors and Massey University. Ross is the Chair or is a member of the Audit and Risk Committees of all six entities and also chairs the FMA Auditor Oversight Committee.
Ross is married to Irma and they have 23 year old triplets. In his free time, Ross loves all forms of cycling and is a social runner – having completed 35 marathons including New York, London, Paris, Rotterdam, Sydney, and San Francisco.
Darby Healey is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career at KPMG. Having joined the firm in 1997, Darby has amassed extensive experience and expertise working within both New Zealand and the United States. Throughout the years, she has held several key leadership positions, including serving as an Audit Partner, Head of Audit Quality, Audit Risk Partner, and Ethics and Independence Partner. She is currently a member of the KPMG NZ Board.
Darby has played a pivotal role in driving and maintaining high standards of audit quality within KPMG. Her strategic oversight and dedication to upholding professional ethics and independence have contributed to the firm's reputation for delivering exceptional service to clients.
