Overview

This practical session is designed to assist the development of emerging directors, building governance awareness and assisting in the development of a pipeline of talent for governance roles. You will be involved in real-life case studies and discussions while working alongside experienced directors.  Asborb their experiences, learn from their journeys, and be better equipped to serve on or work with boards.

Previous sessions have focused on the IoD’s Four Pillars of Governance Best Practice. This session also draws on the Four Pillars but is centred on governance case studies of four different entity types:

·       Māori (facilitator: Jane Huria CFInstD)

·       Not-for-profits (facilitator: Jane Cartwright CFInstD)

·       Start-ups (facilitator: Ben Kepes CFInstD)

·       Family business (facilitator: Rex Williams DistFInstD

The IoD is committed to supporting the next generation of talented, skilled, and diverse directors. So, whether you’re currently involved in or just starting your governance journey, this session will be a great opportunity to shape your governance future.

Spaces are limited. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
