Welcome

The charitable sector makes a significant contribution to New Zealand. Charities operate to help others, often by addressing unmet needs in our society. They also contribute significantly to the New Zealand economy. With over 27,500 registered charities employing 140,000 full time workers, governance within the sector is crucial to ensure their impact continues to be positive and beneficial to our communities.

Working with the Institute of Directors, Perpetual Guardian is pleased to offer a range of learning modules, resources and articles which provide guidance, knowledge, and professional development for leaders of charitable organisations and communities. We hope you find this resource centre useful in your governance role. - Patrick Gamble, CEO Perpetual Guardian Group
