Accelerate is a comprehensive self-managed evaluation ideal for medium to large Crown entities, or boards who have previous experience of completing a board evaluation.  

Guided by the IoD’s Four Pillars of Governance Best Practice, Accelerate provides your board with the flexibility to set up, manage and complete the evaluation at a pace that suits you. Your board will be benchmarked against five factors of board effectiveness: effective oversight, culture and behaviour, purpose and leadership, decision making and board operations, and will receive actionable recommendations to elevate your board’s practice and performance.

• Access to your own secure evaluation dashboard to set up and run the evaluation to your required timelines – saving you and your board valuable time. We’ll even send friendly reminders to survey contributors to ensure high levels of participation. 
• 70 questions covering the key aspects unique to Crown entity governance and responsibilities to the Minister and Government. 
•  The ability for all survey contributors to provide insightful commentary and feedback in a confidential way to encourage candour. 
• A comprehensive evaluation report securely shared with the nominated recipient(s) within an hour of the evaluation closing – or when all contributors have completed if sooner.
• Easy to interpret results for all survey questions and sections, anonymised contributor commentary, actionable recommendations and a guide for how to use the evaluation insights and develop your board action plan.
• All Crown entities that complete an Accelerate self-managed evaluation will also receive complimentary access to IoD’s Four Pillars of Governance Best Practice as a downloadable PDF.
