Please join us for the National Annual General Meeting of the IoD with guest speaker Dame Fran Wilde.
The Annual General Meeting of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand Incorporated will be held at 11.00am on Wednesday 21 May at The Boatshed, Wellington.
At the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) members will be addressed by guest speaker, Dame Fran Wilde DNZM QSO DistFInstD, followed by a light lunch.

Jackie Lloyd BA, BCom, CFInstD, is President of the Institute of Directors and a National Council member.
A life-long interest in the relationship between human behaviour and business performance led Jackie through an executive career as the global human resources director for the New Zealand Dairy Board and NZMP Fonterra, to consulting and governance.
She is currently chair of Naylor Love Enterprises Ltd and director of CentrePort Ltd. Jackie is also Deputy Chair of the Lion Foundation and a board member of the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.
Jackie’s previous governance roles include AgResearch, Kiwi Group Holdings, NZ Post and New Zealand Cricket.

Kirsten Patterson MNZM (known as KP) is the Chief Executive of the Institute of Directors and is a Chartered Member of the IoD. In 2025 she was awarded the New Zealand Royal Honour, Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM) for services to governance and women. She is a qualified lawyer and a Distinguished Fellow of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand, Chair of the Global Network of Directors Institutes (GNDI), and a member of the New Zealand External Reporting Advisory Panel (XRAP). She serves on the Boards of the mental health charity, Voices of Hope, is Chair of the Brian Picot Ethical Leadership Advisory Board at Victoria University in Wellington and an Ambassador for the Wellington Women’s Homeless Trust.
A strong advocate of diversity, KP is a member of Global Women New Zealand and was one of the founding members of Global Women’s ‘Champions for Change’, a group of senior executives and directors who commit to diversity in the workplace. KP was the founder and is Executive Sponsor for Chapter Zero New Zealand – the New Zealand Chapter of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Governance Initiative - hosted by the IoD NZ to mobilise, connect, educate and equip directors and boards to make climate-smart governance decisions, thereby creating long term value for both shareholders and stakeholders.

Dame Fran Wilde has extensive commercial governance and leadership experience in both the public and private sectors. She is currently the Chair of Whanau Awhina Plunket (Royal NZ Plunket), Asia New Zealand Foundation, Nikau Foundation, Wellington Lifelines Group and a director of Frequency Ltd and Destination Wairarapa.
She’s previously held many Chair roles including, Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand, Auckland Light Rail Ltd, Wellington Culinary Events Trust (Wellington on a Plate), NZ International Arts Festival and Wellington Waterfront Ltd, to name a few.
She is regularly asked to speak about leadership and the role of women and is a frequent contributor within the media. In 2019, Dame Fran was awarded the Deloitte Top 200 Visionary Leader Award, became a Dame Companion of the NZ Order of Merit (DNZM) in 2017 and one of her early awards was in 1995 as Wellingtonian of the Year.
