In the five-and-a-half day CDC course you explore the director's roles and responsibilities with other directors. Each day you participate in board simulation exercises, bringing to life case studies that highlight the unpredictable nature of business and the human nature of directorship.
This is a five-and-a-half day course.
Start time: Sunday at 3.30pm
End time: Friday at 2.00pm.
The non-residential format of CDC does not include accommodation.
If you require accommodation, the residential CDC format may be more suitable. The course content is the same for both formats.
The Company Directors' Course requires a sound knowledge and understanding of business finance.

We provide you with a collection of board papers about two weeks before your course starts.
Please allow enough time to read these before the course.
You are required to attend every session to gain certification for CDC.
In order to receive the certificate in Company Direction at the conclusion of CDC, you must:
You are not eligible for certification if you breach any of these requirements.
The Institute of Directors may grant compassionate consideration only if your ability to study is affected by illness, injury, or bereavement. The IoD grants compassionate consideration at its discretion.
Directors and senior executives with at least one to five years' experience of working on or with boards, and a sound knowledge of business finance.
Completion of the Company Directors' Course is prerequisite to becoming a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.
